Description
THIS ACTION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. Scope of Work: These specifications cover the requirements to replace power cable and pull boxes for 26R VASI at Honolulu International Airport. The work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Extend existing 26R VASI Power and Control (P&C) rack, and mount a new 2400 V cutout fuse with heavy duty fiberglass enclosure. 2. Install 6000 ft of duct bank from existing manhole EMH C3 to 26R VASI P&C rack. The duct bank shall be concrete encased (2  2 pvc) with #6 BC guard wire 10 above the duct bank for the entire run, and exothermically weld guard wire to new ground rod at each manhole. 3. Perform 1000 LF of underground directional boring to cross 5 taxiways. 4. Pull 3 #6 5KV EPR cables from State owned Vault X to 26R VASI. (Use existing duct bank from vault X to EMH C3, and new duct bank from EMH C3 to 26R VASI) 5. Saw cut and remove portion of asphalt perimeter road in front of the 26R VASI P&C rack to install duct bank. Patch to match existing road when installation is complete. Steel plates are required to cover open trench across the road during construction. 6. Install a new non-fused 2400 V disconnect for the Neutral in State owned Vault X 7. Install a new 2400 V cutout fuse in Vault X. 8. Contractor should locate any existing utilities, and avoid damaging them. In the event of damaging existing facilities, contractor should immediately repair the damage before proceed any other work. 9. Contractor should expect night work when work inside Runway Safety Area (RSA). See Sect.1-9.3 for additional information on working inside RSA. 10. Coordinate and obtain insurance and badging requirement from Honolulu Airport Authority. See section 1-3. Anticipated date when Request for Offers (RFO) Available: August 24, 2004.
