- Description
- The Program Support Center, Division of Acquisition Management, Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of the Indian Health Service (IHS), Office of Preventive and Clinical Service is seeking a Fiscal Intermediary (FI) to operate a centralized medical and dental claims processing and reimbursement system. The Contractor will collect, compile, and organize workload and financial data and provide statistical and financial reports to IHS. The Contractor shall calculate Medicare and other reimbursement rates to support IHS negotiation of Medicare pricing contracts and assist IHS in coordinating benefits. The Contractor shall participate in the solution of problems and issues which arise in the conduct of the contract. In accordance with Public Law 99-272, Title XXI, Section 2116(a) the competition for this requirement is limited to fiscal intermediaries. It is anticipated that a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Contract will be awarded with a base year and four 12-month option years. Solicitation 05I053998 will be available on or about July 8, 2004, with a tentative closing date of August 9, 2004. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 524292, and the business size standard is $6,000,000.00. Prospective Offerors will be given an opportunity to submit questions prior to submission of proposals. Questions must be received by 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on July 19, 2004. Prospective Offerors must submit their questions in Microsoft Word Format to Allison Ford via e-mail: pscacquisitions@psc.gov.
