- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, requires a contract to provide Maintenance Dredging and other related work at the Kings Bay Navy Submarine Base, Magnetic Silencing Facility, Kings Bay, Georgia. The work consists of the removal o f sediment from the Magnetic Silencing Facility and returning it to specified depth. Accurate positioning will be required for dredging the Magnetic Silencing Facility (MSF) slip or area. Very expensive underwater sensors are located both inside and outs ide the slip and accessibility is limited. Dredging will be required inside the facility. No dredging shall be allowed within 80 feet of the outside of the slip. Dredged material will be disposed of in diked, confined, disposal areas on Kings Bay. Esti mated cost range of this project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 15 September 2004, on the Internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when it is issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. This solicitation is 100% Hub-Zone set-aside. Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract . All responsible Hub-Zone businesses may submit a bid, which if timely received, shall be considered. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC is 1629 and the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 237990. The size stand ard for this NAICS is $17.0 million. Network Analysis will not be required.
