Description
On or about September 3, 2004 this office will issue a Request for Proposal for a 5-Year Firm Fixed Price Continuing Authority Contract for Pallid Sturgeon Population Assessment and Related Pallid Sturgeon Studies under NAICS Code 541690, in support of the US Army Corps of Engineers and its customers. The study area is Segments 8 (Lower Ponca Bend to Platte River) and 9 (Platte River to Kansas River) of the Missouri River System. The Government will award one contract from Solicitation Number W9128F- 04-Q-0032 with an estimated total value of $4.5 Million, for basic work and two (2) options, which will not exceed a total of five (5) years. This contract will be a sole source award to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission which has the unique capabilit ies required to provide these specialized services in support of endangered species recovery efforts. Since the inception of these recovery efforts the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has partnered with the U.S. Corps of Engineers and other State and F ederal Agencies who perform Pallid Sturgeon recovery work along their respective segments of the river. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission was selected for this award because this is a follow-on contract and they possess the biological experience, exp ertise, knowledge, and refined techniques to conduct the Pallid Sturgeon Population Assessment and Biological Surveys on the Missouri River System.
