Applicable to: F100PW100/ 200/220/220E Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: 31 Jul 05. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 13 Sep 2004. The anticipated award date will be 29 Oct 2004. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. To: Pratt & Whitney (CAGE:52661). No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. This item requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to assure that prospective offerors are capable of establishing and maintaining effective process control. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. FIRST ARTICLE REQUIRED. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
