- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intends to award a sole source GSA/FSS Order to Guidance Software, Inc., located in Sterling VA. The statutory authority for this effort is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) or 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(2)(iii)(B) entitled "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.? This effort is in support of the Cyber Crimes Center (CCC) located in Fairfax VA. Guidance Software, Inc. provides introductory, intermediate, advanced, and specialized training courses with EnCase Forensic Software. EnCase Forensic Software is the primary computer forensic application that is distributed for use by all ICE Computer Forensic Agents (CFA). The software is proprietary in nature, highly specialized, and commonly used for evidentiary analysis. Guidance Software, Inc. is the original software developer and a leading expert in the field of computer forensics. Period of performance shall be a twelve-month base year with one twelve-month option year. There is no solicitation available and this synopsis is for informational purposes ONLY. See Note 22. Insert "five days" in lieu of "forty-five days."
