- Description
- The Air Force Research Laboratory Propulsion Directorate, Power Division (AFRL/PRP) issues Amendment 4 for the purpose of soliciting the third call for proposals for the Power and Thermal Technologies for Air and Space (PTTAS). The current solicitation topic is the AC Tolerant YBCO Coated Conductor for Power Applications program. The objective of the AC Tolerant YBCO Coated Conductor for Power Applications program is to develop and demonstrate advanced materials and/or conductor configurations to minimize the losses associated with time-varying magnetic fields experienced by high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wire, especially yttrium barium copper oxide (YBCO) coated conductor, in rotating machinery and transformers.
