Description

If the web page is used, it is requested that registration be confirmed with eit her a fax or an email. The government cannot guarantee a bidder will be added to the bidders list if registration is not confirmed via email or fax. DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. Request for Prop osals will be issued on or about March 23, 2004. Work on the two 5kv station service busses at the Dworshak Dam hydroelectric powerhouse includes replacement of existing air-blast breakers with 14 new vacuum breakers. Furnish and install new breaker (swi tchgear) cubicles. Replace differential current transformers. Extend existing bus duct to new breakers. Relocate existing controls and replace control cables. Furnish and install new multifunction microprocessor based relays for transformer and feeder protection in new panel XPC. Other miscellaneous and related work. ADMIN INFO: PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED, open to both large and small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335311. The small business si ze standard is 750 employees. This size standard is based on the number of persons employed in a full-time, part-time, temporary, or other basis during each of the pay periods of the preceding 12 months. If a large business is selected for this contract it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on that portion of the work it intends to subcontract. The intended subcontracting goals are that a minimum of 57.2% of the contractors intended subcontract amount be pla ced with small businesses including 10% with small disadvantaged businesses. The plan must contain a goal of 10% with women-owned small businesses, 3.0% with historically underutilized businesses (HUBZone), and 3.0% with veteran owned small businesses. T he plan is not required with the submittal of a bid. All responsible business sources may submit an offer, which may be considered. This notice is not a request for proposals, but a notice that our intention is to issue a solicitation for this requiremen t. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (19-FEB-2004).
