Description
The Government intends to negotiate a Sole Source contract, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, with DRS Broadcast Technology, 4212 South Buckner Blvd., Dallas, TX 75227-4299, for the procurement of the supplies and services necessary for the modification of AN/FRT-3 and AN/FRT-31 transmitter systems. The contractor will rearrange the tuning capacitors in the plate tank circuits to place the physically larger capacitors on the inside rows, replace the existing buss work from the tuning variometers to the plate load resistors, and replace the switches on the capacitors with Government furnished switches on the AN/FRT-3. The AN/FRT-31 requires the contractor to modify the cathode circuits in the four power amplifiers for commonality with the AN/FRT-67 and to rework the rear doors of the Unit 24 power amplifiers. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is anticipated with a delivery date of twelve (12) months after contract award date. The NAICS Code is 334220 and the applicable size standard is 750 employees. NO SOLICITATION WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the individual identified below. Supporting evidence to include appropriate documentation, literature and references must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the high level of proficiency required to comply with the above requirements.
