Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD intends to issue a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the duration of three years with Miteq Inc. located at 100 Davids Drive, Hauppauge NY 11788-2034 to provide material and repairs of the electrical equipment to support the R-2919A/UPX-34A(V) non-cooperative target recognition system project. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2034(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source. Miteq Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the required electrical equipment and holds the proprietary data rights. Therefore, Miteq is the only firm possessing the required knowledge, expertise, and data necessary to provide the essential equipment and repairs with the compatibility and interchangeability necessary for immediate integration into existing systems. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information within 30 days after synopsis is published and will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Services to be performed under the proposed BOA will span a period of three years tentatively beginning 01 October 2004 through 01 October 2007. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334220.
