- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Coulee Power Office, Grand Coulee WA has a requirement for the repair of one Sabre Skylight Argon Laser Test Tube. At this time we anticipate a sole source award to Coherent Laser Group, 5100 Patrick Henry Dr, Santa Clara CA 95054. Coherent is the original equipment manufacturer of the laser tube and is the only known source that is capable to fulfill the needs for this requirement. This is an unrestricted full and open competition. The NAICS Code is 334413, size standard is 500 employees. Delivery is to the Bureau of Reclamation, Whse B - Door 6 - Industrial Area, Grand Coulee WA 99133. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR SubPart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the solicitation. The solicitation announcement will open August 26, 2004 and close September 10, 2004, and will be sent to those contractors that have the capability to perform the services for this requirement. If no other contractors have met this requirement, a sole source purchase order will be issued to Coherent Laser Group. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is being issued as 04SQ171435 and quotes (including completed 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items) are due September 10, 2004. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2001-22. CLIN 001: Furnish labor, equipment, and materials to repair Sabre Skylight Argon 20 Laser, Serial No. 0416A, Part No. SBAC-SL-A-20. The laser consists of a head, power supply, and tube. The Government's technician notes state: It went down due to high magnet current. In the week previous to the high magnet reading the power was down to 50 percent. Quantity 1 job.
