Description

Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to TerraSim, Inc., One Gateway Center, Suite 2050, 420 Fort Duquesne Blvd., Pittsburg, PA 15222. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)  only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. TerraSim, Inc. is the only known source that offers the software product called TerraTools for use in the devel opment of three-dimensional runtime Modeling and Simulation Databases using NGA and other data. The product is required for the development of Terrain Scenario Generation and Archival Products that only TEC produces and is capable of meeting the Governmen ts requirements of compatibility. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not la ter that 4:00 CST on 30 August 2004. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this propose d effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Inte nt. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Sandra.D.Staggs@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
