- Perform Kudzu (Pueraria Lobata) control on approximately 407 acres of pine timber stands, mixed pine-hardwood timber stands, above earth-covered igloos, and at other various locations on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (RSA). Site visits to the actual loc ations shall be held on 13 September 2004 and entry onto RSA can be arranged upon request to the Contract Specialist. The chemical approved for use at RSA is Escort (Metsulfuron methyl, EPA Registration Number 352-439); generic equivalents are allowable. All chemicals shall be applied per label direction. All chemical mixing shall be performed outside RSA and no chemicals shall be stored on Government property. The contractor shall hold a Commercial Applicators license issued by the State of Alabama au thorizing the use of herbicide chemicals; a copy of the certification shall be provided along with the quote. Written quotations will be requested with the award date scheduled for 28 September 2004, subject to the availability of certified funding.
