Description
SOURCES SOUGHT: The project work site is the U.S. Coast Guard Group New Orleans, Louisiana, Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River. The project work consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials and transportation to fabricate and install one single pile steel caisson structure at the entrance to the South West Pass, Mississippi River, LA. The single pile caisson structure will support a platform deck that shall be fabricated and installed by the contractor at an elevation of approximately 40 feet above sea level. The work also includes installation and wiring of a solar power lighting system on the new caisson structure. The new structure must be precisely located to properly mark the edge of the channel; accurate surveying is required. Also included is demolition and removal of one existing multiple pile steel light structure located in the position of the new structure, and removal of the existing damaged tower from the river bottom. Work also includes repairs/replacement of wooden timber construction access platforms on the adjacent Southwest Pass Lighthouse, resetting one metal gangway, and replacement of another. Price range is $250,000.00 - $500,000.00. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $28.5 million. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. SOLICITATION IN ITS ENTIRETY WILL BE AVAILABLE ON LINE AT: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All amendments and pertinent information will be available at this website. This action is being considered for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their interest to the Contracting Officer in writing as early as possible, but shall not be received by the Contracting Officer later than 15 calendar days after posting of this notice. As a minimum, the following information is required: a copy of the certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern, a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and telephone numbers and, provide evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and aggregate totals. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. .
