- Description
- The TSA intends to negotiate separate single-source contracts with General Electric and Smiths Detection for Pilot Testing Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Portals. The purpose of this work is to test, evaluate, and analyze pre-production or production representative systems under realistic conditions. TSA is negotiating single-source contracts because only two vendors, GE Ion Track (of Wilmington, MA) and Smiths Detection (of Pine Brook, NJ) have passed the initial TSA screening requirements.
