Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administrations' Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.3.12, the FAA Alaskan Region is announcing that it has a requirement to contract for construction of a guardhouse with paved parking area and access road at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 700 N. Boniface Parkway, Anchorage, Alaska. The anticipated date the solicitation package will be available is September 7, 2004 with a closing date of September 27, 2004. There is a charge of $150.00 per solicitation package. Checks are to be made payable to the FAA Alaskan Region and must accompany your request for solicitation package. This is full and open competition. The anticipated solicitation close date is September 27, 2004. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
