Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is: W31P4Q-04-T-R005, the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24. The contract line item number(s) and items, quantities, and units of measure are: CLIN 0001- One (1) EA Karl Suss Adaption K it Align Stage MA6/BA6/W-150, Karl Suss P/N: 20016824; CLIN 0002- One (1) EA Karl Suss Transport Fixture TYP A/MA6/BA6/SB6 LIN/W-100/A-150, Karl Suss P/N: 171478; CLIN 0003- One (1) EA Karl Suss Bond Align Chuck/Type A/MA/BA6/PP/W-100A, Karl Suss P/N: 169 126; CLIN 0004- One (1) EA Karl Suss Bond Chuck PP/VC/AB/SFB/SB6/W-100A, KARL SUSS P/N: 20015518; CLIN 0005- One (1) EA Karl Suss Upper Chuck BA6/VC/W-100/A-150 Karl Suss P/N: 159262. The required delivery date is no later than 26 November 2004. Inspecti on/Acceptance/FOB will be destination. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The proposed contract action is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with one source. This not ice is not a request for competitive quotes. Only Suss Microtech, Inc upgrade components meet all the Government specifications. Anticipated award will be SUSS MICROTEC, Inc, 228 Suss Drive, Waterbury Center, VT 05677-8296. Any award resulting from this RF Q will be issued on Standard Form 1449 and will contain all clause required by law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the award. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation--Commercial Items, is applicable, the specific evaluation criteria to be included in paragraph (a) are technical capability and price. The evaluation factor technical capability is significantly more important than price. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The additional FAR clauses cited at paragraph (b) in the clause and applicable to this acquisition are: clause (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20) (23), (25) and (30). Offer is due not later than 3:30 PM Central Time, 03 September, 2004, inn the contracting office, building 54 00, Room B-145, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5280. Electronic quotes/offers are acceptable. Quoted/Offers received after the specified date will not be considered for award.
