Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of a vocational training program in Major Appliance and Engine Repair for the Federal Correctional Institution, Beckley, West Virginia, located at 1600 Industrial Park Road, Beaver, West Virginia 25813. The program is to include shop procedures in washer, dryer, refrigeration, freezer, air conditioner, micro wave oven, dish washer, range, and lawn tractor engine repair. The contractor will be responsible for instruction and practical application of major appliance and engine repair techniques, so to enable students to possess entry level skills as a Major Appliance and/or Engine Technician. The contract shall consist of a base year with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are 1,550 (1) one hour sessions for the base period and each option period excluding Federal Holidays (not to exceed 30 hours per week). The solicitation will be made available on or about September 3, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is October 1, 2004. Anticipated date of award is November 1, 2004, with performance anticipated to begin January 3, 2005. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
