- The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, repair parts, tools, and equipment Interior renovation work includes demolition of interior non-load bearing partitions; existing elevator, existing toilet rooms, existing interior ceiling, wall and floor finishes; interior doors & frames; ductwork, diffusers, and grilles; light fixtures & electrical devices. Demolition work shall comply with GSA Construction Waste Management requirements. New construction shall include floor finishes; new wall finishes including gypsum wall board, vinyl wall covering; suspended acoustical ceiling systems; doors, door frames, and door hardware. Mechanical system improvements shall include rework of existing supply and return air distribution systems including new grilles, diffusers, controls, and new air handling unit and distribution ductwork for Assembly Room. Rework the existing fire protection system. Install new steel catwalk for access to new air handling unit. Electrical system improvements shall include rework of existing power distribution systems and fire alarm system; new lighting and power system. Work shall be performed at the Theodore Levin U S Courthouse, 231 W. Lafayette St., Detroit, MI. Performance period is 200 calendar days after the receipt of the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages are $110.00 per day. This is a small business set-aside negotiated procurement. Women Owned and Veteran owned businesses are encouraged to submit offers. NAICS is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 million. The solicitation will be available o/a August 31, 2004; the actual date for receipt of proposals will be stated in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) website (fedteds.gov). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. At a minimum all vendors must supply the following information: Your Company?s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Company?s, CCR Point of Contact) your Company?s DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B Number), Your Telephone Number, Your Email Address. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal material can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL http://www.FedTeDS.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled ?Register with FedTeDS? and then choosing the ?Vendor Registration Form? hyperlink. It is the vendor?s responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps for any changes and/or conditions.
