- This is a sources sought synopsis for the Small Agency Council Financial Committee (SAC FC). The Tax Accountability Act of 2002 expanded the number of federal agencies who are required by law to prepare and subject to audit financial statement packages annually. Many of those new small agencies subject to this requirement are currently attempting to compile their first set of auditable statements. More are attempting to compile their first Performance and Accountability Report within the newly approved and substantially shortened guidelines of OMB and subject them to review this year. The Small Agency Council Financial Committee (SAC FC) is planning to hold a December 1, 2004 meeting to facilitate small agency interaction with financial services firms who offer assistance in the compilation of small agency financial statements or audit services in the review of those statements. If you represent one of these firms and would like to participate in the meeting by either offering to speak to the group about a current success, in coordination with an agency, please let us know. If you would like to attend this meeting or future SAC FC meetings and discuss these items please let us know. Historically, SAC FC meetings have had attendance of approximately 100 representatives of small federal agencies. A small agency is defined as having less than 5,000 FTE?s. The meeting is currently scheduled to be held at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), 445 12th Street, S.W., Washington, DC 20554, on December 1, 2004 between 9:00 AM and noon. Advanced registration is required. Attendees have to be U. S. Citizens or holders of valid green cards. If you would like to participate please send an email to: SAC-FC@fcc.gov by 4:00 PM, September 15, 2004. Please note that the allotted length and the format of each presentation will depend on the number of interested firms.
