- Description
- The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD), intends to issue a commercial item solicitation for off-site storage and services of casefiles. The required services include, but may not be limited to the storage of approximately 1.1 million paper casefiles used to furnish information relating to customer inquiries or transactions for Treasury Securities in a numerical filing system; the retrieval of casefiles upon request; the transporting of casefiles between the Contractor?s storage facility and BPD on a two hour basis; the microfilming of documents in the casefiles; and the purging of casefiles for destruction by BPD. The Contractor must comply with the United States National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) regulations (36 CFR 1228) for off-site storage of (non-civilian personnel) temporary Government records. Additional storage requirements will be included in the solicitation document. The Contractor shall be required to provide all supervision, labor, facilities, equipment, and materials to meet the requirements of the contract. A date for a site-visit will also be included in the solicitation document. This procurement is set-aside for small business competition only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this solicitation is 561499 and the small business size standard is $6 million. The contract will have a base period and four one-year option periods. Please note that the General Services Administration provides the notification service as a convenience and does not guarantee that notifications will be received by all persons on the mailing list.
