Description

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation intends to award a sole source contract to Biomark Inc., 7615 W. Riverside Drive, Boise, ID 83714-6183 for the purpose of procuring passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags utilizing FAR Subpart 13.5 Test Program (procurement of commercial item greater than $100,000.00) and utilizing the procurement methods under FAR Parts 12, 13 & 15. The following brand name or equal products are to be procured -- Destron 12mm identity tag Model No. TX 1440ST 134.2 kHz tags; PIT tag reader FS2001F-ISO Reader Kit with racket antenna; PIT tag injectors Model No. MK VI, PIT tag injector needles Model No. N100, and Pocket PIT tag reader HS6100L. The location of the work is the Upper Colorado Region, Salt Lake City, Utah. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 334511. Approximate date of solicitation issuance is August 24, 2004. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within 14 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any challenge to the sole source must be submitted in writing, including technical literature and pricing information, to Ms. Leslie Corpening, Contract Specialist, by August 24, 2004. Prospective vendors must register in CCR prior to the award of a contract.
