DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE ONLY. Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks to obtain professional services for the performance of cultural resources monitoring functions at the Dworshak Reservoir i n central Idaho. The Walla Walla Corps of Engineers will use the results of the monitoring activities to satisfy a portion of compliance requirements under the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 as amended, the Federal Columbia River Power System program agreements and related historic preservation requirements and procedures. The work will consist of minor restructuring of the existing monitoring program, completion of multiple year monitoring activities at Dworshak Reservoir and development of a final comprehensive monitoring report. Work will start with a base year with the option on the part of the Government to renew for four (4) additional on-year periods. Firms will be evaluated based on criteria listed in the Request for Proposal. Firms can download the Request for Proposal from this website on or about September 2, 2004. The solicitation will not require consultation with the State Historic Preservation Office or with federally recognized Tribes. ADMIN INFO: THIS IS A UNRESTRICTED, OPE N TO BOTH LARGE AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541720. The small business size standard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $6,000,000.00. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Contractors ca n access the CCR for free at http://www.ccr.gov. This synopsis is not a request for proposals, but a notice that a solicitation will be issued.
