Description
The previous announcement is changed as follows: The solicitation is anticipated to be available in September 2004 is changed to The solicitation is anticipated to be available in October 2004. In addition the title is changed from Indefinite Quantit y Multiple Award Contract for Generator Repair (Water to Wire) for the Northwestern Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers to Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award Contract for Generator Rehabilitation for the Northwestern Division of the US Army Corps of Engineers. Finally, the brief description of work is changed as follows: Contractors shall perform work on all electrical and mechanical equipment required to produce electrical energy from water. Examples of the components related to the power train equi pment identified for the work under this contract are as follows: 1. Generator rehabilitation with large (500 hp & over) pump motors rehabilitation; 2. Turbine rehabilitation, large (500 hp & over) pumps(including its turbine prime mover & gearbox) rehabil itation and emergency intake waterway closure devices such as penstock spherical and butterfly valves (including their power and control units); 3. Exciter rehabilitation or supply; 4. Step-up transformer and switchyard transformer replacement, rehabilitat ion, preparation for repair by others, and installation of transformers provided by others; 5. Circuit breaker rehabilitation for SF6, vacuum, air blast, or air magnetic types; 6. Governor equipment replacements, upgrades, or rehabilitation; and 7. Isolate d phase or non-segregated bus, surge arrestors, reactors, surge protection equipment, and grounding equipment replacement or rehabilitation.
