Description
US Army CECOM intends to solicit by means of an Invitation For Bid (IFB)commercial construction services to replace windows and EFIS for Building 1202, Fort Monmouth NJ. The existing windows shall be replaced with blast resistant windows as specifie d in the available drawings, number 11156-15, 1 thru 16. Drawings will be made available via CD in JPEG format, and will be delivered through postal mail or at the site visit, to be announced (TBA) in the resulting solicitation. Requests for copies of dr awings should be addressed to the Contracts POC stated below. Additionally, this requirement calls for installation of new aluminum blinds. The EPDM roofing will need to be replaced along the perimeter of the building with a new 2 ft. wide EPDM roofing s ystem, to include fascias, flashings, strip edges, gutters and downspouts. The exterior EFIS will also need to be replaced with a new STO EFIS finish system composed of a reinforcing mesh with a STO finish coat In Accordance With (IAW) manufacturers instr uctions. Existing elevations and details of the building are included in the available drawings. The magnitude for the project, IAW FAR 36.204 is between $1M and $5M, category F. An award for this project is anticipated in FY'04, and will be issued subje ct to the availability of funds. The recommended construction period is 300 days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $200.00 per day will be assessed for any unauthorized schedule overruns. Any contractor receiving award under the resulting solicitatio n will be required to provide a construction performance schedule (MS projects format) and a schedule of values for progress payments prior to the start of work. There is no Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) available for this project.
