- This is not a notice of RFP issuance. HQ AFMC/LSO anticipates a competitive acquisition for shipping and storage containers. Fabrication of long-life, extruded aluminum shipping and storage containers per drawing packages located @ http://packweb.wpafb.af.mil/solicitations/04R0079/common.zip http://packweb.wpafb.af.mil/solicitations/04R0079/HUD.zip http://packweb.wpafb.af.mil/solicitations/04R0079/MLG_Post.zip http://packweb.wpafb.af.mil/solicitations/04R0079/Radome.zip Task would include CNC type machining, welding, and a small amount of bending. There are three different container designs: Part Number Name Dimensions Qty 20042070 HUD Shipping and Storage Container 43.7 X 21.5 X 22.4 108 20042035 MLG Post Shipping and Storage Container 77.8 X 62.2 X 38.2 148 20042000 Radome Shipping and Storage Container 107.9 X 88.6 X 56.4 41 All sources capable of providing these containers are being sought. In addition to the information requested in the paragraph below entitled ?Capabilities Package?, responding parties must also indicate their size status in relation to the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) (332439). Businesses, including their affiliates, employing an average of 500 individuals or less during the past 12 months are considered small. Sources with 8(a) status or otherwise classified as small disadvantaged business should state accordingly in their responses. CAPABILITIES PACKAGE: All interested firms should submit a capabilities package that outlines the firm?s experience and capabilities in providing the above-mentioned services. The capabilities package should be brief and concise, yet clearly demonstrate an ability to meet stated requirements. In addition to the capabilities package we are also requesting an estimated cost to produce each container. These estimates will be used for planning purposes only.
