- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with Redcom Laboratories, Inc., Victor, New York, under Request for Quote (RFQ) 0155139. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Redcom, Inc., is to provide the following items: 1) (8) Sets ? (24 boards per set) of DS1 Board (MA0697-013); 2) (16) Boards ? (4 containers per board) of Answering Service Interface Boards; and 3) (2) Each of VoIP Boards(MA0696-124). Based on market research conducted using the results of previous purchases for similar products, catalogues, the World Wide Web, and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI?s requirement for the above-listed items can only be provided by Redcom Laboratories, Inc. The known requirement must be compatible with previously installed architecture, and Redcom Laboratories, Inc. is the only known vendor who meets this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Monday, August 30, 2004, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-6103. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334290 and the size standard is 750 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
