- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with Professional Safety, Incorporated/a Division of Enforcement Technology Group, 400 North Broadway, Milwaukee, WI 53202, under Request for Quote (RFQ) 861851. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Professional Safety Incorporated, is to provide the following items: 1) (57) Wireless (Public Address Systems) First Response Units w/HBN-35 Headband Microphones. Based on the market research conducted via the World Wide Web, and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI?s requirement for the above-listed items can only be provided by Professional Safety, Incorporated/a Division of Enforcement Technology Group. The FBI requires a public address system that is self-contained, wireless, hand-held and supports a range of up to 750 feet. In addition, the first response unit is compatible with other ETG-manufactured equipment, previously purchased. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Monday, August 30, 2004, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-6103. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334310 and the size standard is 750 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The selected contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
