Description
SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking information on sources capable of providing an electronic, web-based, vehicle tracking system for the BOP?s fleet of buses that transports inmates. The BOP?s performance specifications consist of the following minimum requirements: MAPPING: 1. Map Entire Fleet - Display all tracked vehicles on one map; 2. Map Single Unit on Request - Display the precise location of a specific vehicle (realtime); and 3. Map Historical Trips - Illustrate where a vehicle has been. MESSAGING: 1. Inbox - List all messages received from vehicles; 2. View Message Details - Display entire contents of message; 3. Compose Message - Provide format for sending messages with an easy to read format; 4. Sent Items Box - List all messages that were sent to vehicles (Ability to send a single message to one or more vehicles at a time); and 5. Trash - List all messages that were deleted from either the Inbox or Sent box. REPORTING: 1. Start/Stop - Display a list of stops and duration of stops made by the vehicle and 2. History/Activity - List all locations and stops during queried window. SPECIAL FEATURES: 1. Panic/Duress Button - All tracked vehicles require a simple button in case of emergency; 2. Access - Program may be utilized from any P.C. with web base access (User I.D. and password protection needed). Responders are requested to provide general information about available items/systems/programs/services, pricing information and typical payment structure, normal terms and conditions of usage, contract vehicles (contracts available for Federal Government agencies), company/organizational name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, fax number, business size (to include, large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a), or HubZone status). The BOP is conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10 - Market Research. All relevant information is encouraged . The information contained in this Sources Sought synopsis is all that is available. At this time, no solicitation exists. This is for informational purposes only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or Request for Quotations. The Government does NOT intend to award a contract on the basis of this Request for Information or otherwise pay for the information solicited.
