- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Contractor written quotes are being requested. This solicitation is unrestricted as to business size. This Request For Quote (RFQ) and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-24. The line item(s)will be performed in accordance with the specifications listed below. The prices quoted shall be all inclusive of costs. Signed and dated quotes must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA/CASC, Attn: AMD/Ron Anielak, Room 1756, 601 East 12th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106. Quotes must be received on or before 2:00 pm CDT, September 3, 2004. Quotes may be faxed to 816-426-7530 Attn:Ron Anielak. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer. Award will be made to the offeror offering the best value and who demonstrates compliance with the requirements of this solicitation. Delivery time will also be a consideration in the award selection. This is a firm fixed price solicitation. SCOPE OF WORK: Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary (FKNMS) requires the removal of a fire damaged engine, purchase and installation of one John Deere marine engine and necessary equipment into the vessel R3902 ?Agassiz? moored at MM95.230 Overseas Hwy, Key Largo, FL 33037. The contractor shall remove the old engine and provide a new engine, parts, materials, special tools, labor as required to accomplish the following work: Remove old engine. Purchase and install: 1 John Deere model 6125 EPA II M4, 525 HP Engine To include: Front and rear mounting hardware, Heat exchange cooled- wet SS exhaust elbow- 8 inch, Main panel and harness extension, Electronic throttle, Flybridge panel and harness, 5114A Marine gear, with trolling valve, with oil cooler and shaft coupling, auxillary drive, PTO, A&B splines. Gear ratio to be determined by contractor based on vessel size of 39 feet, drive shaft, and propeller. Only authorized John Deere Marine Engine dealers or installers can offer on this solicitation. The vessel can not be moved and the work must be done in Key Largo where the vessel is moored. Shipping costs to be included in offered price ? FOB destination. The delivery and installation of the engine and other items shall be within 3 months after receipt of a purchase order. Up to 15% allowed for unexpected repairs necessary to complete the total job. Successful contractor shall remove old engine and dispose of it at its discretion and may apply any engine value to the overall cost in its offer. DOC, CASC requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR.
