- Description
- Dollar magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The performance time is 134 calendar days. The work to be performed consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, plant, labor and supervision necessary to Repair Access Ramp, Building 700. Project No. DKFX 89-1066. The work includes, but is not limited to: Demolition and replacement of approximately 20,000 square yards (13in thick) of portland cement pavement, 1000 square yards of asphalt, provide new airfield markings and tie downs, and removal of three electrical service islands. This action is being considered for 100% Set-Aside for HUB Zone small business concerns. Interested HUB Zone small business concerns should indicate interest to the Contracting Officer, in writing, as early as possible, but not later than 27 July 2004. As a minimum, the following information is required: (a) a copy of the certificate issued by SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone concern; (b) a positive statement of your intention to bid on this contract as a prime contractor; (c) evidence of the recent experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contracts and telephone numbers; (d) evidence of bonding capability to the maximum magnitude of the project to include both single and aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone concerns. Failure to submit all information requested may result in a contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice. Therefore, replies to this notice are requested from all business concerns as well as from HUBZone concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 237310 with a small business size standard of $28,500,000.00.The successful contractor will be selected using Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. The government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest price. Evaluation factors will be set forth in Sections L & M of the solicitation. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 28 July 2004 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to visit this web site frequently for any updates and/or amendments to any and all documents.
