- ANY REQUESTS MUST BE WITH YOUR COMPANY NAME, ADDRESS, TELEPHONE AND FAX NUMBER, PLEASE NO EMAILS UNABLE TO ACCESS IT. NO SUBSTITUTIONS SHALL BE ACCEPTABLE. The Commandant, HQS at Naval District Washington (NDW) has a requirement to purchase a one-time F/X Software Upgrade for AEGIS Digital Wide-Area Communications Network from M/A COM, Inc, 221 Jefferson Ridge Parkway, Lynchburg, VA 24501. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services shall satisfy the agency?s requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice or received as a result of a notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The procurement of this highly specialized service in a competitive basis will result in a duplication of cost and time to the government. Manufactured by Tyco Electronics (Clin 0001 ? F/X Software upgrade for EDACS/AEGIS Digital Wide-Area Communications Network and shall include all newly released software code for each MASTR III repeaters, GETC?s CSD, SIM, IMC, EDG, C3 Maestro Consoles, Orion Mobiles, MRK and P7100 portables, Profile Manager Software, to execute Over-the-Air- Programming (OTAP) and/or reprogramming of all Orion, MRK, and P7100 radios equipped with ProFile Feature Encryption.
