- The Government intends to award on a sole source basis, in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.1, a commercial item contract to BAE Systems Information and Electric, 65 Spit Brook Road, Nashua, NH 03061-0868, for one (1) M092A136-1, Ruggedized Laptop to the Joint Distributed Engineering Program to support the Joint Integrated Test System (JITS). The system must be cable of performing the following standards: Temperature: Operating: 0 Deg C to +50 Deg C, Non-operating: -40 Deg c to +70 Deg C. Humidity: 5% to 95% RH, non-condensing. Altitude: Operating: 15,000 ft, 1 hour Non-operating: 40,000 ft, 2hours, altitude change rate: 2,000 ft/min. Vibration: Operating: 10-55Hz, 0.2mm, 55,500Hz, 1.2g Non-operating: 10-55Hz, 0.3mm, 55-500Hz, 2.0g. Shock: Operating: 15g, 11ms, half sine wave, Non-operating: 40g, 11ms, half sine wave. Drop: 3 feet high free drop on concrete. Enclosure class: IP66/NEMA4, Salt Fog: 5% salt solution at 35! Deg C, 48 hours. Radiation: FCC part 15, subpart B, class B. Electrostatic discharge: contact charge: 8kv, air discharge: 15kv, contact/air discharge: 15/20kv. Electromagnetic field: IEC 801-3, level 3/DIN VDE 0843-3. Transient burst: on power supply, data, I/O lines: IEC 801-4, level 4/DIN VDE 0843-4. Transient pulse: IEC 801-5, level 4/DIN VDE 0843-5, level 4. The most important attribute of the Ruggedized Laptop is the need for specific cabling and circuitry that together allow the terminal to be attached to the test network so that analysis of traffic on the network can be done. The input/output card that is on the current JITS terminal will only operate if the correct circuit and cabling from the laptop are installed in conjunction with the software produced by BAE and contained on the laptop. Also, listed below are the hardware and software specifications for the Laptop, which is suitable for use in extreme environmental conditions: Processor/Memory: Intel Pentium-200Mhz CPU, 128MB RAM, 4.2GB Removable hard drive, Display: 11.3" active matrix TFT SGVA, 800x600 resolution, 64 colors, Keyboard: 86 key, water proof & dust proof rubber keyboard with integrated micro module pointing device, Expan! sion: X frame-one 3/4 size ISA bus card, other Hardware: 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive, PCMCIA (Two type II or One type III), Win 98 Operating System, Internal CD Rom , I/O support card: H538A251-03, Appropriate support port cable assemblies are available based on terminal type, Misc: Carrying bag, Battery, AC adapter, Win 98 Operating System. Only one source is responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be honored for information purposes only. Item shall be shipped F.O.B. Destination and delivered and accepted at MCTSSA, Supply Officer, Bldg 31345, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055-5171 no later than thirty (30) calendar days after contract award. If no affirmative written response is received within 10 days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract to BAE Systems Information and Electric wi! ll be issued.
