- Description
- The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to AP Labs, 16868 Via Del Campo Ct., San Diego, California on a sole source basis. The purpose of this action is to procure eight (8) each of the AP Labs chassis, part number 5122810-1, with an option to procure seventy-seven (77) additional units. The requirement is a follow-on to a previous contract with AP Labs under which a standard chassis was modified and fitted with Government manufactured front and rear panels, and subsequently approved by the National Security Agency (NSA). This action is based on AP Lab's requisite size, environmental, electrical, front and rear panel space, and security requirements. Use of any other contractor would result in substantial duplication of costs not recoverable through competition. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334111 and the size standard is 1,000 employees.
