- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, HI, intents to acquire moving services for the Marine Force Pacific (MARFORPAC). Work involves the movement of personnel, furniture and equipment between points onboard Camp Smith as well as the movement of residual furniture and equipment to consolidation points and then onto Defense Reutilization and Marketing (DRMO) located at the Kalaeloa Redevelopment District (Barbers Point) or metal/wood scrap recycling points on the Island of Oahu (Campbell Industrial, Naval Station Pearl Harbor). Contractor shall provide vehicles, labor, equipment, and materials for the movement of personnel, furniture and equipment, which includes but is not limited to the disassembly and reassembly of modular workstations, the disassembly and reassembly of one (1) tracked file system, furniture, equipment, safes, appliances, and boxed desk items for approximately 600 personnel. The subject items are located in various buildings throughout Camp Smith, and will be moved to specified locations on Camp Smith. The period of performance of the resulting contract would be 13 September 2004 to 1 April 05. This requirement will be 100% Small Business Set-Aside and will be competed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13.5. Request for Quotes No. N00604-04-T-A974 will be issued for this requirement on or about 20 August 2004 (closing on 30 August 2004 at 1000 hours). A site visit will conducted at Camp Smith on 25 August 2004 at 1000 hours. Contractors interested in bidding must attend the 25 August site visit to acquire first-hand understanding of the type and extend of work this requirement entails.
