- Description
- The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 335313. The Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center intends to issue a request for quotation to L3 Communications, Power Systems Group, 901 E. Ball Road, Anaheim, CA, 92805-5916. The request for quotation shall be on a sole source basis for the procurement of Solid State Automatic Bus Transfers (SSABT). The SSABT was designed and developed by L3 Communication, Power Systems Group and is utilized for the mission critical equipment. The SSABT?s electronic switching is transparent to the user equipment providing continuous and reliable power to the weapons systems equipment. The anticipated services will be provided on a Firm Fixed Priced contract. L3 Communications, Power Systems Group is the original, sole, design agent for the SSABT. L3 Communications has been the sole contractor involved in performing the design agent engineering support services for design, fabrication, installation, modification, and repair/refurbishment of the SSABTs. The design of SSABT is proprietary to L3 Communications and there is no other known commercially available replacement for the SSABT. The Level III drawing package is maintained by L3 Communications for the U.S. Navy . Note 12, 22, and 26 apply.
