Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to procure on a sole source basis PMC Interface Modules with SC and BNC Connectors from Ramix Incorporated; 1672 Donlon Street, Ventura, California 93003-5617. The PMC modules are required for ship installation support and Maintenance Assist Modules as part of scheduled SSDS MK 1 installations on various ship classes and upgrade of the SSDS MK2 CVN Trainer installation at the Combat Direction Systems Activity, Dam Neck. Extensive environmental testing was conducted to demonstrate the suitability of the required modules for shipboard use. The specific requirements are: 1) 15 each Ramix PMC663FC Dual 100BaseFX Ethernet PMC Interface Modules with SC Connectors; 2) 11 each Ramix PMC665A Dual 10BaseFL Ethernet PMC Interface Modules with SC Connectors; 3) 30 each Ramix PMC675 Dual 100BaseFX Ethernet PMC Interface Modules with SC Connectors; and 4) 15 each Ramix PMC683 Dual 10Base-2 Ethernet PMC Interface Modules with B! NC connectors. Only the specific make and model equipment will satisfy the Government?s minimum requirements. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 18 August 2004, 2:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time and the anticipated award date is 26 August 2004. All deliveries will be to be Combat Systems Activity, 1922 Regulus Avenue, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23461 and will occur on or before 30 November 2004. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTE AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE. Electronic quote submission is encouraged at xds11@nswc.navy.mil; but, the quote may also be faxed to (540) 653-7088 or delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Attn: Code XDS118, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5100.
