- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis a Time and Material, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract, which would provide specialized technical support services to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Range Department. These services involve test planning, test scheduling, operational support, analysis, and reporting to support the Range Department in its participation in the Pacific Broad Area Test Bed (BATB) and will serve a broad variety of Test and Evaluation (T&E) customers. The contractor must provide a high level of technical expertise to support the T&E Competency in the planning for and providing of range services to high visibility and complex T&E operations occurring on the BATB, which consists of several Department of Defense (DoD) test ranges near or in the broad Pacific Ocean area and other off range remote sites where deployment and employment of Range services may! be required to support tests. A variety of range customers, such as Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Pacific Range Support Team (PRST), and foreign military sales customers, will have a broad scope of often extremely varied and complex test requirements. The contractor will interface with many other military and commercial test ranges as well as the agencies, both government and commercial, who are testing their systems using BATB. The majority of the contractor's work force will be physically located in contractor facilities within commuting distance of NAWCWD?s Pt. Mugu California site. Activities under this contract may also involve sites away from the NAWCWD Pt. Mugu facility, such as on-site support at the Kodiak Launch Complex and associated off-axis site and mid-range sites during mission deployment periods. The contractor must be able to handle classified information at the SECRET level and also adhere to the individual Security Guide for each program being su! pported. A five-year period of performance from date of contract award is anticipated. Award of a contract is expected on or about 01 December 2004 and the contract will continue through 30 November 2009. Any resultant contract will contain the clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement.
