- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation, Lower Colorado Region, Boulder City, Nevada, has a requirement to supply three species of one gallon trees, 6,000 trees of each species, which must be grown from cuttings newly collected from the lower Colorado River, Bill Williams River, and lower Gila River. Collection should be undertaken during the 2005 non-growing, dormant season, with equal numbers coming from each of the above mentioned sites. The species include 6000 Salix goodingii (3000 in gallon-size pots and 3000 in plastic slips or tubes); 6000 Salix exigua (3000 in gallon-size pots and 3000 in plastic slips or tubes); 6000 Populus fremonttii (3000 in gallon-size pots and 3000 in plastic slips or tubes. This requirement is being procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 111421 and the size standard is $750,000.00 (average gross receipts over a three-year period). Effective October 1, 2003, prospective vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to the award of a contract. You may register by going to www.ccr.gov. You will need your Dun & Bradstreet number and banking information. It is anticipated that a Request for Quote (RFQ) will be issued on or about Aug 16, 2004, and awarded on Aug 27, 2004; however, all dates in this announcement are subject to change. The RFQ will be issued via www.fedbizopps.gov/ but the Government reserves the right to issue the solicitation on paper or CD-ROM if the website becomes inoperable.
