- Description of Work: This is a construction project where the vendor is to furnish labor, equipment, supplies and materials, except for specified Government-furnished property, to construct approximately 11.9 miles of new fence with appurtenances, to remove approximately 11.9 miles of existing woven wire fence, and furnish and install one cattle guard with wings and concrete bases. >>>>> This RFQ consists of ten lines: 0001 - MT02834(1) Barbed Wire Fence (4 Wire), 3,806 rods; 0002 - MT02834(5) Barbed Wire End Panel Type II, 53 each; 0003 - MT02834(6) Barbed Wire Stress Panel, 45 each; 0004 - MT02834(9) Five Post Barbed Wire Corner Panel - Type II, 39 each; 0005 - MT02834(23a) Barbed Wire Gate 4 Wire, 27 each; 0006 - MT02834(30) Single Set Wood Post (for drainage crossings only), 12 each; 0007 - MT02834(52) Drainage Crossing, Type A (installation of wire and rock weights only), 10 rods; 0008 - MT02834(10) Fence Removal, 3806 rods; 0009 - MT02881(13) Complete 12 Foot Cattle Guard Assembly, 1 each; 0010 MT03306(4) Concrete 12 Foot Cattle Guard Base, 2 each. Quantities are estimated; Award will be 'All or None'; and, this project is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. In accordance with FAR 28.102-1, 100% payment protection is required for contracts greater than $25,000 prior to issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This can be submitted by Irrevocable Letter of Credit, Certificate of Deposit, or Payment Bond. >>>>> The Request for Quote will be posted on Fedbizopps.gov on or about Wednesday, August 18, 2004 and will close on Sunday, September 19, 2004 unless otherwise amended. A site tour is planned for Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at 8 a.m. Everyone is to meet at the Malta Field Office located at 501 S 2nd Street East in Malta Montana. Please provide your own transportation - 4 wheel drives are recommended - travel over unimproved roads is required. Award is tentatively scheduled for September 21, 2004 with the start date scheduled for October 18, 2004. The project is to be completed by August 3, 2005. >>>>> Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) is required.
