- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Requisition number F0AMSS41770400 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. This acquisition is unrestricted. The U.S. Air Force 48th Contracting Squadron intends to award a firm fixed price Purchase Order for: CLIN 0001. Supply and installation of 94 reproductions of contemporary abstract design, e.g., styles of artists such as Sean Scully, Neil Canning, Julia Robinson, James Cox and Eva Locke, or similar, (2 pieces each for 47 offices). CLIN 0002. Supply and installation of 14 original artwork pieces, e.g., styles of artists such as Sean Scully, Neil Canning, Julia Robinson, James Cox and Eva Locke, or similar. CLIN 0003. Supply and installation of 1 sculpture of stone-like material, e.g. slate or concrete. The material should be cut in to 12? x 12? squares and arranged three across and three down connected with thin material to create an illusion of floating objects. Avoid pictures of aircraft or objects that one typically affiliates with military life. A site visit will be held on 17 August 2004 at 1330 in the AMC Freight Terminal, Bldg. 599. RAF Mildenhall. UK. All interested vendors must contact this office by 1600 on 16 August if attending the site visit. All quotes must include delivery, installation and art security devices. All pieces of art must be delivered and installed within 30 days of contract award. Vendors should include printed samples and dimensions of the artwork, payment terms and delivery information with their quote. FAR provision at FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, applies to this requirement. If quote is for an ?equal? product, specifications of the item must be included in quotation. FAR provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, applies to this RFQ with the following addenda: paragraph (i) of this provision does not apply and change paragraph (c) from 30 calendar days to 60 calendar days. Paragraph (e), Offerors are encouraged to submit multiple offers. Each offer submitted will be evaluated separately. Far provision 52.212-2, Evaluation ? Commercial Items, applies to this RFQ with the following addenda: Paragraph (a) is filled in with (1) Visually acceptable to meet the Government needs (2) price (3) availability to meet delivery schedule, in descending order of importance; paragraph (b) does not apply. Offerors shall include with the submission of their offer a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, without addenda and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues of Executive Orders ?Commercial Items, without addenda, applies to this acquisition (including: 52.222-21, 52.222-26,52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 and 52.232-33). DFARS provisions at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items; DFAR 252.229-7006, Value Added Tax (VAT) Exclusion; and 252.229-7008, Relief From Import Duty (UK) applies to this acquisition; including USAFE 5352.225-9102, Submission of offers in other than United States Currency.
