Item 0001: New manufacture, NSN: 2840-01-187-3161JF, PN: 1318M29P01, NOUN: Nozzle Segment, Turb., Applicable to the B1B. Destination: Tinker AFB, OK 73145. Delivery: Beginning May 2005. Quantity: A quantity between 1 each and 1,500 will be acquired. The actual quantity will be determined at time of award. At this time, the government?s BEQ is 1,117 each. The following quantity ranges for pricing purposes will solicited: (1-500) and (501-1,000) and (1,000-1,500). Qualification requirements: Requires prequalification of sources to ensure reliability of part. Due to the complexity and criticality of the part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 October 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(a) do not apply. Government-tested First Article will be required if the contractor has not made this item within the past 36 months. The approximate solicitation date will be 27 August 2004. The approximate solicitation response date will be 27 September 2004. Anticipated award date is 10 November 2004. Solicitation will be available on FedBizOps and should be obtained from there. Please do not call this office for a solicitation. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requester is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal/quote/bid, which if timely, will be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror or manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1.
