- Description
- Psychologist Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) at Davis-Monthan AFB seeks one part/full time contract psychologist. Employment will be by personal service contract. This position is a set-aside for individual psychologists. Applications from companies or formal group practices will not be accepted. Duties: Provide outpatient psychologist healthcare to eligible beneficiaries and make recommendations to military commanders regarding active duty military personnel. Employment Period: 1 Oct 04-30 Sep 05 with options for four additional years of employment. Work schedule: Approximately 32 hours per week, may be increased up to 40 hours per week. There must be at least a half-day of service provided Monday through Friday. Minimum qualifications: Applicants must possess the requisite credentials sufficient for granting of clinical privileges by the MTF as described in Air Force Instruction 44-119, Clinical Performance Improvement; possess a Doctorate Degree in Psychology; have successfully completed an accredited psychologist residence program; possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist; possess certification in Basic Life Support or equivalent; show evidence of training and experience in providing biofeedback services sufficient to meet Air Force requirement for credentialing; submit certification of current physical examination; submit two letters of recommendation; certify English language fluency; be eligible for U.S. employment. Applicants meeting minimum qualifications will be ranked against all other qualified applicants using the following criteria: Quality and quantity of education, experience and training; prior experience in a military treatment facility; experience providing psychologist service in a military MTF within the past 24 months; satisfy State requirements for Continuing Health Education; and letters of recommendation. Contract will be awarded to the highest ranked, responsible applicants with whom the Government can negotiate a fair and reasonable price.
