Description
The Maritime Administration (MARAD) intends to procure Spare Parts Procurement support for the Ready Reserve Force (RRF). The purpose of this contract is to provide for the repair parts and ship support material replenishment necessary to maintain and enhance the Maritime Administration?s (MARAD) Logistics Support Programs in support of the RRF. Approximately 15% of the RRF ships are moored at the three reserve fleet sites in Virginia, Texas, and California, while the remaining ships are berthed at various ports throughout the United States and overseas. This requirement has been set-aside for a national 8(a) competitive procurement. The successful offeror must meet SBA?s 8(a) eligibility requirements (which will be determined by SBA) prior to award. The resultant performance-based contract will be a follow-on to contract DTMA91-97-C-00005. The current contract, performed by Veridyne, Inc. of Broomall, PA, expires July 2005. The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. An RFP will be available on or about September 30, 2004 at https://voa.marad.dot.gov. The NAICS code is 541330 with a size standard of $4M. A physical Bidders Mailing List is not being maintained. The Department of Transportation (DOT), short-term lending program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
