- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), MacDill AFB, Florida, intends to procure the installation of instrumentation on a Cessna Citation II (CE-550) aircraft to include the following: Appropriately STC?d Reduced Vertical Separation (RVSM) system; two VHF comm./nav radios capable of 8.33 Khz frequency spacing; Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS); traffic advisory system; multi-Function Display (MFD) and Transponders (2) with mode A & S capabilities. The contractor shall furnish AOC with the wiring diagrams prior to the commencement of the required work. The Contractor shall be responsible for all required documentation (FAA 8110/337), and log book entries. All parts must be factory new. Due to current mission requirements, the aircraft will not be available for these upgrades until November 2004. AOC requests that vendors submitting proposals supply a proposed timeframe in which the work can be completed. The timeframe shall include, but not limited to the following information: Proposed time of initial aircraft inspection?start and end dates; Proposed time of equipment acquisition and engineering (aircraft not required on site) ?start and end dates; Proposed time of installation (aircraft required on site)?start and end dates; and Proposed time of final system inspection/quality assurance?start and end dates. Installation on the aircraft will be performed at the Contractor?s facility. The Contractor shall, at its own expense, provide and maintain during the performance of this work Hull & Liability (Hangar Keepers) insurance in the amount of $3,000,000. This solicitation for commercial items will be issued on or about August 20, 2004. This procurement is set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 336411. The small business size standard is 1,500 employees. This purchase will be made under the guidelines of FAR, Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items.
