Description
This requirement is being conducted in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation subpart 12, Commercial Item Acquisition as a total small business set-aside to provide furniture for approximately 500 open plan workstations and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-23. The NAICS Code is 337214 and the size standard is 500 employees. The closing date for this solicitation is September 2, 2004 at 4:00 P.M. EASTERN TIME. Requirement Description: This is for the issuance of a firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract for supplies. It consists of a period from date of award through January 26, 2006 to provide systems furniture for the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF) located at the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland, Maryland. This contains no option periods. This acquisition will be conducted in a two step selection process in which the first step will determine the products offered by the vendor are directly connectable to the specified Herman Miller Action Office Series 2 (AO2) product without the need for any adapters. This step will be evaluated on a ?go or no go? basis. The offerors determined to meet the step 1 criteria will be further evaluated under step 2 which will consist of a ?best value? approach considering the appropriate balance of management capability and cost factors. Based on the evaluation, a selection will be made based on a best value for the Government. Offerors must submit all questions concerning this solicitation in writing to the Contracting Officer. They must be received no later than ten calendar days after the date of this solicitation. All responses to the questions will be made in writing and included in an amendment to the solicitation.
