Description

Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision to replace humidification systems in the Quarantine Facility at the USDA, ARS, Subtropical Agricultural Research Center in Weslaco, Texas. The work consists of, but is not limited to, demolition of existing damaged walls, ceilings, flooring, and finishes, piping, humidifiers, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other associated items in the building; providing and installing new wall materials, patch flooring, patch ceilings, finishes, painting, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, ventilation, ceiling fans, and other associated items all in accordance with the contract documents. The work will be constructed in one phase and under a single prime contractor. The project has three add alternate items. Requests for plans and specifications may be mailed, E-mailed, or faxed to the USDA ARS SPA, 7607 Eastmark Dr., Suite 230, College Station, TX 77840. All requests must reference the IFB # 06-7MN1-2004 and contact persons name listed below. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. TENTATIVE pre-bid conference is scheduled for August 25, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the construction site. The ANTICIPATED bid opening date is September 16, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Please check bidding documents for verification. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000.
