- NA The United States Geological Survey intends to procure repairs to the roof, doors, siding and electrical components of a metal warehouse building located in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the island of Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and any other items necessary for the completion of installing a new metal roof, siding, doors, and electrical components including electric panel and energy efficient lights equivalent to the existing lighting, and repair of corroded support beams of the HVO warehouse as outlined below: 1. Replace metal seam roof and skylights similar to existing skylights. 2. Replace all eave struts. 3. Replace all metal wall panels and base plate/flashing. 4. Seal roof to wall with new flashings. 5. Replace two vents. 6. Replace roll-up door and support frame with heavy industrial Windsor commercial door (model 200) made of 20 gauge steel slates. 7. Repair two end wall columns (steel I-beams) at base plate so that they are structurally sound. 8. Replace two 3070 steel doors (ADA approved handles), jams, and frames. 9. Replace existing fluorescent lighting with energy efficient lighting. 10. Replace electrical panel. 11. Replace guttering and downspouts. This job requires a site visit on August 19, 2004 for verification of all measurements and quantities. Further detail will be contained in the solicitation. Anticipated period of performance is October 2003 or January/February 2004 - work will be completed no later than the end of February 2004. The solicitation document will be available electronically and by fax, but electronic transmission to interested parties will be the preferred method.
