Description
The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has a requirement for Weed Control services for the Provo River Restoration Project (PRRP). The project is for the Utah Reclamation Mitigation and Conservation Commission. This is a commercial item. The Test Program, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, FAR Part 13.5 and the procedures under FAR Part 15 will be used. This is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside. The small business size standard is $6.0 million. The NAICS Code is 561730. The contract is firm, fixed price. The period of performance is for a base year and four one-year options and up to an additional six months. FAR Clause 52.217-8, "Option to Extend Services" will be incorporated in the solicitation. Performance will be along the middle Provo River between Jordanelle and Deer Creek Reservoirs in Wasatch County, Utah. A site visit will be scheduled in the solicitation. The services are for the application of herbicide to control weeds within revegetated areas as well as in advance of construction with the PRRP corridor. It is the objective of the PRRP to reassign the river to a more natural channel and regain the vegetative and wildlife resources once supported by the river. Construction activities associated with the restoration project will create many new landscape features. During these construction activities, some natural riverine and upland areas will be disturbed. The Commission will actively revegetate constructed features and disturbed areas with native, local plant materials as each construction phase is completed. Drawings may be obtained by sending a fax or e-mail request to Sonia Kamai at phone number (801) 524-3706, fax number (801) 524-3857 or email address skamai@uc.usbr.gov. Refer to the Solicitation name and number in your request, include your DUN's and TIN, phone and fax numbers, company name, and address. Prospective vendors must register in CCR prior to the award of a contract.
