Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking potential commercial sources for two hundred (200) 600 gallon per minute (gpm) diesel-drive commercial pumps for transfer of fuel and potable water (approximately 175 units for fuel and approximately 25 units for water). The pump is intended for use in airfield refueling systems, motor fuel servicing equipment and military pipeline systems. The pump shall be: 1.) Capable of operating in temperatures of minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 130 degrees Fahrenheit for fuel transfer and 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 130 degrees Fahrenheit for water transfer; 2.) Capable of pumping all types and grades of aviation and automotive fuels within a specific gravity of .67 - .85; 3.) Minimum 600 gpm at 350 feet of head; 4.) 10 ft minimum suction lift; 5.) Two-wheeled chassis-mounted adapted for towing over rough cross-country terrain at the following speeds: highway 50 miles per hour (mph), gravel and dirt road 30 mph, level cross-country 20 mph, hilly cross-country 15 mph; 6.) Axle and chassis assembly shall have a rated capacity exceeding the maximum payload, but not less than 6000 pounds and be equipped with two shock absorbers for stability; 7.) Able to ford water to a depth of 30 inches minimum; 8.) Engine must be able to operate on JP5/JP8 and diesel; 9.) 24-volt electrical system. Firms possessing the capabilities to accomplish this requirement are invited to submit the following: Statement of capabilities to accomplish the proposed effort; unit pricing, current GSA contract information (if available on GSA), past performance information, information on delivery/lead time, and warranty terms and conditions. Responses will be evaluated and a sources list established of those firms determined to be potentially capable of fulfilling the Government requirements. This sources sought/request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisition. No entitlement to pay of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the Government use of such information. Proprietary information submitted in response to this synopsis will be protected when clearly identified as proprietary. Responses to this RFI should be mailed or delivered via FEDEX, UPS, or DHL to: Marine Corps Systems Command, Attn: H. Hubbell ?
